Come See Us at the Seafarer’s Festival
Good news on the Antarctic front, just in time for the Antarctic Season Opener hosted by the Hobart City Council. Not only are we heading for another successful Antarctic program of science, research, supply and exploration, but we’ve also confirmed that the biennial Australian Antarctic Festival will be on again in 2018. Supported by the AAD, IMAS, the CSIRO, Hobart City Council, Events Tasmania and dozens of other agencies and companies, we will once again bring Antarctica to you with an exciting program of tours, exhibitions, film, open days and artwork inspired by the frozen South Land.
Hobart shines as Australia’s Antarctic port and there’s no better time to visit and learn about our fascinating history and lively future than during this family-friendly, four day celebration of all things Antarctic. Join us at the Seafarer’s Festival in Bellerive on Sunday, 29 October, to hear all about plans for 2018. These include two Antarctic ships open for tours, aircraft and Antarctic equipment and a chance to meet and talk to the people who live and work in Antarctica.
