Don’t Let This One Get Away

Here’s an offer you don’t get every day!

Sponsored by a double handful of Antarctic organisations and administered by the University of Tasmania, here’s a chance for a young person (18-29 years) to take a sponsored trip to Antarctica to visit the Chilean Julio Escudero Antarctic Base on the Antarctic Peninsula.  Airfares and accommodation are sponsored and you have only to meet your own insurance costs and some meals.  You will be part of a working research station for a full week, learning about the Antarctic environment, living and working in Antarctica and the fascinating science done there.

BUT BE QUICK!

Applications close in ten days, and you need to polish up your CV and explain how you see your city’s relationship with Antarctica and consider ways that your city might act as a custodian for the Antarctic region in the future.
