Festival Partners information
The Mawson’s Huts Foundation would like to acknowledge the important support given to the Australian Antarctic Festival by the Tasmanian Government through Events Tasmania, by the Hobart City Council and by Chimu Adventures, representing the Antarctic tourism sector. Without these foundation partners, the festival could not have taken shape.
We thank the Australian Antarctic Division for contributing resources for the Festival and acknowledge contributions made by IMAS, CSIRO, P&O Maritime, Clennett’s Mitre 10, the Tasmanian Polar Network, the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, Antarctica Flights and numerous organisations and individuals.
Funding was provided by a special grant from Events Tasmania, the Hobart City Council and Chimu Adventures, the Foundation’s major sponsor and one of Australia’s leading Antarctic tour companies which is developing closer links with Hobart. In addition, members of the Tasmanian Polar Network have given their backing to the Festival in many ways to ensure its success. Their support is enthusiastic and generous.
Antarctic Flights, which has been chartering QANTAS 747 aircraft for flights over the continent for 20 years, is supporting the event and looking to operate flights from Hobart.
